School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) Needed! Wilmington, Massachusetts Contract Position | Full Time Amergis Healthcare Staffing is proud to partner with a respected collaborative to support services within a Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC) program in Wilmington, MA. We are currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based therapy for the remainder of the school year, with the possibility of continuing through the July summer program. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a highly specialized program serving students with intensive special needs. Position Overview As the school-based OT, you will deliver direct therapy and integrated support services to elementary and middle school students in a structured therapeutic program. TLC focuses on communication, academic readiness, life skills, and social development—offering a collaborative environment committed to helping students reach their fullest potential. You will work closely with teachers, related service providers, and program leadership. Location: Wilmington, MA Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: Remainder of the School Year (Possible July Extension) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM Pay Rate: Up to $60/hr Key Responsibilities + Evaluate students and develop individualized OT treatment plans aligned with IEP goals + Provide engaging 1:1 and small-group therapy using an integrated service model + Collaborate continuously with classroom staff, SLPs, PTs, BCBA/behavior teams, and program leadership + Collect and analyze data related to IEP objectives; adjust interventions as needed + Support students with communication devices and assistive technology + Promote independence, appropriate behavior, social awareness, and life skills + Attend IEP and team meetings as required + Complete written evaluations, progress notes, and professional reports + Consult with teachers, caregivers, and external providers + May accompany students to outside appointments or home visits as appropriate + Assist with general program needs such as lunch support or personal care tasks Qualifications + Active MA OT License + School-based or special education experience (preferred) + Experience supporting students with Autism and multiple disabilities + Comfortable working with students who may exhibit physical or verbal aggression + Ability to lift or assist up to 40 lbs and move quickly from floor to standing + Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills + Familiarity with communication devices/assistive tech If you're passionate about supporting students in a highly specialized learning environment and want to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative school community, we’d love to hear from you!
