**Job Title: Electronics Technician** **Job Description** Join our production operations team in Victoria, BC, as an Experienced Electronics Technician. You will play a crucial role in electronics manufacturing, utilizing your technical expertise and communication skills to produce high-quality products. **Work Environment** Work in a small office/shop environment with a production team of four and three engineers upstairs. Enjoy a casual atmosphere with no PPE requirements, allowing you to wear anything you'd like. Benefit from flexible starting times and a competitive salary. **Responsibilities** + Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems. + Assemble final products, experimental circuitry, or complete prototype models according to engineering instructions and technical manuals. + Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. + Set up standard test apparatus or devise test equipment and circuitry for functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability. + Analyze and interpret test data. + Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components, recording effects on unit performance. + Write technical reports and develop charts, graphs, and schematics to illustrate system operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations. + Handle shipping and receiving of products. + Repair returned products and rework new stock. + Update and maintain the RMA system. + Learn Manufacturing Assembly, including testing, manual component/product assembly, product packaging, and identifying electronic components and accessories. + Build and maintain test fixtures. + Ensure quality control and reject products outside specifications. + Maintain clean and safe work areas. + Communicate effectively with team members. + Perform other job-related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 5 years of technician experience. + Good manual dexterity. + Excellent fine pitch soldering skills. + Ability to work both independently and as a team member. + Ability to follow work instructions. + Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English. + Minimum college certificate in electronics. + Ability to operate various hand and power tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous electrical assembly experience is a nice-to-have. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a relaxed work environment with a small, tight-knit team.
