The Electronics Technician’s responsibilities include performing electrical assembly and rework for both digital/analog circuit boards and electromechanical assemblies. Supporting the integration and test of Intergalactic’s systems and test stand equipment. They work closely with EE
engineers to bring new designs to life, discovering and solving the challenges of early hardware builds.
**Job Description**
**Role & Responsibilities**
+ Electronics build-up: soldering electronic components to printed circuit boards and sub system assemblies (example: motor and motor drive electronic assemblies)
+ Electronic rework; removal and replacement of electronic components from printed circuit boards
+ Reading and viewing electronic schematic and printed circuit board CAD files.
+ Use Altium, Visio, or other schematic/diagram software.
+ Support the electronic assembly and test (proto, qual and production) of Intergalactic electromechanical environmental control systems (ECS)
+ Get and maintain certification in soldering and handling of Electrostatic Discharge (ESDsensitive) components.
+ Support and conduct electronic inspections for quality and conformance sell off
+ Assist with the development and documentation of manufacturing work instructions
+ Execute operating instructions and programs for equipment.
+ Support integration of design builds to ensure they function according to specifications.
+ Support the maintenance of electrical documentation.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Associates degree in an applicable technical discipline from an accredited school or institution {i.e., Aviation Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronic Technology, Chemical Technology, Welding Technology, etc.} or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum 2 years of manufacturing solder technician.
+ Certified (J standard, IPC-A-610 , IPC/WHMA-A-620 ) electronic solder technician, both assembly and rework.
+ Experience with electronic printed circuit boards; handling and soldering, electronic schematics, bills of material (BOM), and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) drawings, cable harness drawings and build-up
+ Experience testing and debugging electronics, including the use of standard electronic test equipment (power supplies, multi meters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
+ Knowledgeable with software tools for schematic capture and PCB design (ie…Altium).
**This position is on-site in St. George, UT**
