Our Barnstaple facility is located in North Devon. Founded in 1948, the site now employs approximately 160 employees and features the Aero Stanrew brand of electromagnetic components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for safety critical applications in aerospace and defence, industrial and transportation industries.

Electronics Harness and Wireperson is a key role in the manufacture of sub assemblies & rack systems working within the operations department. The working hours for this role is 07h15 to 17h30, Monday to Thursday
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture check & follow detailed build instructions to a high degree of accuracyManufacture product in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraintsComplete manufacturing tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.The role requires a zero tolerance to defectsProactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvementWork within a zero harm culture Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Core Requirements
Experienced in Aerospace industry or similar industry.Extensive experience in working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments, and design to spec environmentsExcellent communication skills Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines. Experience in the use of ERP/Shop booking systems Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential and Strong attention to detailAble to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlinesAccreditations in IPC 610/620 or Recognised Similar such ESA/ECSS
Desireable Skills and Experience
Experience of Accredited Quality Systems such as ISO9001 or AS9100Knowledge or experience of Lean manufacturing or production techniquesFormal ApprenticeshipAdditional accreditations such as trainer for IPC610/620 Jstd
