Barco Healthcare Diagnostic Imaging develops and sells novel high-tech displays that provide medical images to doctors (e.g. radiologists) in exceptional quality to allow them to make the correct medical diagnosis.
We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our team developing state-of-the-art medical display systems for the diagnostic imaging market. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and validating high-performance electronics that power advanced medical visualization technologies used in radiology, mammography, and other diagnostic applications.
You will take ownership of the electronic schematic design, lead PCB layout activities, and oversee the bring-up and validation of complex electronic boards. Your work will directly impact the quality and reliability of medical imaging systems used by healthcare professionals worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
Design analog and digital electronic schematics for high-resolution medical display systems. Lead and guide PCB layout engineers to ensure optimal board design for performance, manufacturability, and compliance. Oversee the bring-up, debugging, and validation of prototype and production boards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and system engineers to ensure seamless integration. Select and evaluate components based on performance, availability, cost and regulatory requirements. Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and risk assessments. Support EMC testing, thermal analysis, and reliability validation. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, contributing to shared goals and mentoring junior colleagues.
Skills And Experience:

Nice to Have:
Experience with FPGA design and VHDL programming. Knowledge of medical device standards (e.g., IEC 60601) and regulatory requirements. Background in display technologies or video processing.
