The Compliance Engineer plays a critical role in designing systems that include electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment. This position requires extensive knowledge of global compliance standards and related requirements.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish compliance test standards, conduct and witness tests, perform diagnostic procedures, measure performance, and analyze and evaluate findings.Document compliance by completing approval applications, recording test results, preparing investigative reports, and maintaining a compliance database.Organize compliance programs by preparing timetables, cost estimates, and acquiring resources, including in-house testing and third-party test houses.Collaborate with suppliers and outside engineering consultants to resolve technical problems and improve system features.Investigate sources of special equipment, materials, or devices, obtain quotes, and prepare requisitions.Determine conditions and sequences for tests and direct operational, functional, and performance phases.Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for engineering and management.Coordinate engineering activities related to the development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments and equipment.
Essential SkillsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.Technical knowledge with control panels and standards.EMI troubleshooting expertise.Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with mechanical aptitude.Proficiency with MS Office 365.3-6 years of related experience.
Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred knowledge of UL and electrical hardware components such as VFD, circuit breakers, fuses, power supplies, motor controllers, and reading electrical schematics.Familiarity with specifications, codes, and standards in commercial HVAC and datacenter industries, including safety and environmental directives.Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements such as FCC and NEC.
Work Environment
This role offers a flexible work schedule, allowing for remote work 3-4 days a week for paperwork-related tasks. Onsite presence is required for tasks involving the control panel and collaboration with designers. The position involves a mix of desk work and research and development activities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $106000.00/yr.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
