Job Description:

The Electronic Technician performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas in support of Flight Simulators located at Whiteman AFB

Essential Functions:

Calibrate, install, maintain, repair, and test flight simulators, and other support equipmentInstall changes and updates to simulators and support equipment as requiredPerform required readiness checks on flight simulation equipment and instrumentsConduct and document preventative maintenance checks required for simulator and support equipmentTroubleshoot, repair, and document malfunctions of simulators and support equipmentRemove and replace faulty equipment and complete maintenance data collection recordsAssist with installation and check-out of simulator and support equipment modificationsAssist with general field site facility activities as requiredWork from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructionsApply comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documentsPerform other related duties as required by the supervisor or site manager

Qualifications:

Associate degree or successful completion of one of the US military electronics schools or successful completion of a commercial electronics technician programAbility to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagramsExperience in the electronics or simulation technology field with Security +, A+, and Network + certificates are a plusProspective employee must possess or must be able to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

CompTia certification in one or all of the following: Security+, A+, or Network+, is a plus
