Job Description
As an Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for selecting, setting up, and operating electronic instrumentation and related electromechanical or electrohydraulic apparatus used for operation and environmental testing of mechanical, structural, or electrical equipment. You will translate test data for engineering personnel by performing a variety of duties.
ResponsibilitiesSelect, install, calibrate, and check sensing, telemetering, and recording instrumentation and circuitry.Develop specifications for nonstandard apparatus according to engineering data and equipment characteristics.Troubleshoot control logic through PLC interface using software to isolate and repair fault conditions.Direct technical personnel in the installation of units in test chambers or other test facilities.Operate test apparatus during test cycles to produce, regulate, and record effects of conditions like vibration, stress, temperature, humidity, pressure, altitude, and acceleration.Analyze and convert test data into usable form, preparing graphs and written reports to translate test results.Plan test programs using computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce graphs.Record data manually or by computer as required.Comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and occasional overtime.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingMechanicalElectricalMaintenance technicianElectromechanicalPreventive maintenanceHydraulicsPneumaticsRepairBlueprint readingUse of hand toolsSchematic understandingWiringAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and follow information on work instructionsWhy Work Here?
