Job Description
The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electromechanical systems and equipment used in plastics manufacturing. This role ensures optimal machine performance and minimal downtime in a fast-paced production environment.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair injection molding machines, extrusion lines, and auxiliary equipment such as dryers, chillers, and conveyors.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment to ensure continuous operation.Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.Calibrate and test sensors, motors, PLCs, and control systems.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate service records.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Essential SkillsAbility to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Proficient in preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of production equipment.Experience with PLC troubleshooting and blueprint reading.Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.Understanding of electromechanical systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastics.Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systems preferred.Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and automation.Ability to use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal cameras.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $74880.00/yr.
