Electromechanical designer is responsible for Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components.
As a Electromechanical Designer, you will be responsible for:
Execute electromechanical system design, including mechanical components, sheet‑metal enclosures (NEMA4/harsh environment), brackets, wiring/harness layouts, electrical subsystem integration.Lead full product lifecycle: concept -> requirements -> detailed design -> proto build -> validation -> production release.Perform detailed CAD modelling (SolidWorks/CATIA/NX), 2D drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis.Develop subsystems such as supervisory controls, motor control elements, power electronics packaging, high‑voltage components, and system wiring.Conduct design reviews (CVR, DVR) and prepare documentation per engineering standards.Apply DFMEA, DFM/DFA, DRBTR, and reliability engineering principles.Analyse mechanical stresses, component interfaces, and electromechanical interactions to ensure design robustness.Ensure compliance with industrial, automotive, OFSE, or aerospace standards depending on project requirement.Support qualification testing, including environmental tests (NEMA, lifting/bracket tests, HV component validation, etc.).Project Execution & Cross‑Functional CollaborationManage engineering tasks, schedules, risk items, and deliverables using project management tools (MS Project).Work with global cross-functional teams: electrical engineers, controls engineers, manufacturing, vendors, and quality teams.Provide technical communication to suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders.Coordinate onsite–offshore engineering activities as needed.Support engineering change management activities.Documentation, Reviews & GovernancePrepare and maintain BOMs, design notes, test reports, ECOs, and validation documents in PLM (Teamcenter/Windchill).Participate in audits (internal or third-party like TUV) and ensure traceability/compliance.Contribute to knowledge management and repository updates.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5–15 years’ experience in electromechanical product design or mechanical–electrical system integration.Strong experience with CAD tools: SolidWorks, CATIA V5, NX.Experience with PLM systems: Teamcenter, Windchill.Work in a way that works for you
