Electromechanical Assembler II

Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler ($24.50/hour)

Job Description

Under general supervision, you will perform a wide variety of electromechanical or mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly operations to build up and assemble complex instruments. Duties include techniques to wire, prepare cable harnesses, and install cable harnesses. You will also perform coating, mixing, and cooking of raw materials to create finished products.

Responsibilities

Assemble electromechanical instruments or fabricated parts to make subassemblies or complete instruments using hand tools, power tools, and special tools or calibration equipment.Determine methods and sequence of assembly operations, using assembly shop and production operations sheets, wire lists, samples, blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions.Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating and quality requirements.Perform in-process and final quality inspection of assembled products.Examine drawings and work orders to determine the work that needs to be performed.Utilize appropriate machines and tools to install, mount, fasten, align, and adjust parts, components, wiring, and harnesses.Examine and test assembly at various stages of production to identify errors.Maintain a record of the assembly process, progress, and problems.Provide feedback to supervisor when deviations from accepted practice or safety issues are recognized.Utilize small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.Identify and select components to be integrated into sub-assembly and assembly units.Clean and coat molds for fixtures and product use.Perform mixing and cooking of gels in a laboratory environment.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in the use of hand tools, micrometers, and power tools.Experience with wiring, wire harness, blueprints, schematics, and electromechanical assembly.Ability to support assembly of medical, mechanical, and electronic devices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with assembly techniques, tools, materials, machines, and equipment.Ability to work from engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals, and verbal or written instructions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $24.50/hr.
