Work closely with Vehicle teams to verify that the latest technology meets or exceeds both internal and regulatory Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) requirements and standards. Oversee EMC lab testing at the vehicle level, verify results and then sign off for compliance. Work with the product teams to resolve and correct all issues that do not meet prescribed performance levels. Represent the EMC team by documenting performance and providing product teams guidance on the path to shipment.

Support design of Electrical/Electronic (E/E) commodities/subsystems with respect to Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).  The engineer will be responsible for review, assessment and supplier feedback with respect to the commodity circuit design in addition to printed circuit board (PCB) layout. The engineer would also be responsible for working with Ford suppliers to develop EMC test plans and monitor execution of EMC validation testing.  The engineer will work closely with the Ford electronics product development teams, as well as with EMC vehicle application teams to assure robust design.
