Electrodiagnostic Technician
Responsible for performing patient assessment preparation and monitoring for electrodiagnostic surgical procedures following established clinical guidelines.  Operates maintains and troubleshoots associated medical devices/equipment. Functions in the EEG Lab EMG Lab Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and various ICU settings (NNICU  & PICU).

Ascertains patient procedural specifications.Prepares patient.Performs baseline studies and monitors patient status.Prepares monitors and troubleshoots procedure equipment.Communicates with healthcare team members.Maintains proper inventories and correctly uses supplies and reagents.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program or an Associate’s Degree required.  Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

Experience: 2 years' experience in patient environment preferred, preferably with a pediatric population.

Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping.  Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 – 100lbs.   May be exposed to chemicals, fumes, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Position Compensation Range: $26.76 - $42.82 Hourly
