Job Title: 3rd Shift Electro Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial maintenance, possessing comprehensive knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and industrial controls. Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair processing and packaging equipment.Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain proper documentation.Troubleshoot and repair control panels, motors, and power distribution systems.Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Work with conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and automated packaging equipment.Perform mechanical alignments, bearing replacements, and belt tensioning.Calibrate temperature sensors, flow meters, and pressure gauges.Utilize multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and OSHA standards.Follow SOPs and maintain clean, safe workspaces.Ensure food safety protocols and hygiene standards are upheld.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or electro-mechanics.Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and industrial controls.Ability to work independently and troubleshoot under pressure.Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.Electrical systems knowledge.Proficiency in working with conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and automated packaging equipment.Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate’s degree or technical certification in electromechanical technology, electrical engineering, or industrial maintenance.Some roles accept a high school diploma with extensive hands-on experience.3–5 years in a manufacturing or food production environment.Prior work with automated or robotic systems is a major plus.Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) like MP2 or SAP.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in hot/cold environments. It demands strong problem-solving and communication skills, a willingness to work overnight shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency calls. Team-oriented mindset and flexibility to support cross-functional tasks are essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $39.00/hr.
