GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Monitors, maintains, and repairs the electrical distribution system including the lighting system, backup
generators and related equipment; also supervises Electrician and/or Maintenance Mechanics performing electrical work.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs preventive maintenance of all building electrical equipment, making repairs as necessary. Is responsible for the hospital electronic fire panel. Supervises any assigned Electrician or Maintenance Mechanics in the completion of electrical tasks. (45%)Responds to, or assigns to an Electrician or Maintenance Mechanic, all service and emergency calls regarding any facility electrical issue and/or device. (40%)Works closely with any outside contractors and engineering firms to assure proper installation of electrical equipment throughout the hospital. (10%)Must demonstrate personal accountability for knowledge and application of DOH, Joint Commission, ICRA and National Electric code requirements. (5%)Performs other duties as assigned or required.QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
