Cardinal Health's Gananoque facility, with over 450 employees and 119 years of Canadian history, manufactures life-impacting medical devices is seeking a full-time, permanent an Electrician to join our Team. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing all electrical work within the Gananoque facility.
The incumbent will play a crucial role in managing, maintaining and executing all repairs and ensuring that all electrical systems are operating smoothly and without delays in a safe and efficient manner. This person will execute all the electrical tasks within the Gananoque plant, ensuring that compliance and safety standards are met.
Shift: Hours: Shifts will run on a 2-week basis from 7am to 7pm for days then from 7pm to 7am, for the night shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Electrical support of the 24/7 automated manufacturing equipment and facility systems within an ISO 13485/FDA environmentModify and troubleshoot PLC (Program Logistic Controls) software and PC based control system, in compliance with change control processesCreate and execute preventive maintenance and calibration procedures on all types of electrical components, including 75 different types of equipment and approximately 150 machines in totalHands-on or related experience with troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, and upgrading automated production equipment utilizing appropriate tools and equipmentInstall electrical equipment, controls and wiring on standard products and industrial machinerySelect operation sequences, locate equipment and wiring details per specifications, cut and bend conduit, pull wires, make connections, perform standardized tests, and adjust as requiredMust have a working knowledge of all types of motors and controls including servos, steppers, and induction motorsMust be able to troubleshoot circuitry as well as electronic controls and repair themMust know rules and be able to install new services according to Ontario Electrical Code by ESA and be able to read schematic diagrams or electrical and electronic equipmentOperate under Lean Manufacturing Principles in an ISO 13485 environmentEnsure that daily/weekly/monthly tasks are completed as scheduledPerform work in keeping with Corporate Maintenance Excellence program and Maximo Maintenance IT PlatformFollow site’s 5S systems and processesEnsure that the workstation is always cleanEnsure that tools are all calibrated and in working orderCollaboration with engineering and production teamsWork in multidisciplinary teamsResponsible for seeing that all tasks are performed in a manner that complies with Cardinal’s Policies & Procedures, and all regulatory requirements.Education / Training and/or Experience:
Certified Electrician or Electrical Technician or Certified Electro Mechanic strongly preferredYou have experience in an industrial/manufacturing environmentYou have Knowledge of PLC and strong troubleshooting skillsYou must have excellent knowledge of industrial electrical control circuitryKnowledge of Vision Systems an assetYou can read engineering drawingsYou are comfortable to work in 24/7 shift work environmentOur Employees all benefit from:
