Position Summary:  Under general supervision, responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all electrical facilities and equipment. Performs all electrical work in compliance with all codes, regulations, etc. May also do general maintenance and repair tasks.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1.     Installs, maintains, modifies and repairs all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.

2.     Performs all work in compliance with current National Electric Code.

3.     Inspects and tests components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears.

4.     Completes work orders, records material utilized on jobs and other required documentation.

5.     Runs computer cables, connects computer jacks and plugs, and tests for adequate operation.

6.     Utilizes blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects.

7.     Surveys electrical systems, circuits and plans.

8.     May also perform general maintenance and repair tasks as required.

9.     Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications:

Required:

·       High school diploma or equivalent.

·       Training beyond high school in related programs/advanced training in electricity.

·       Four years of related experience.

·       Journeyman’s electrician license.

·       Valid state driver's license.

·       Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.

Preferred: 

·       Previous experience in health care industry.
