We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of electrical trade functions including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, and utilization of electric energy. This position requires a well-rounded professional with comprehensive training and experience in electrical systems, typically acquired through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair various electrical equipment including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, automatic transfer switches, motors, and heating unitsDesign, install, and maintain conduit systems and other electrical transmission equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and technical specificationsDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment malfunctionsPerform standard load requirement calculations for wiring and electrical equipmentUtilize a variety of electrician's hand tools and specialized measuring/testing instrumentsConduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and continuous operationDocument completed work and maintain accurate service recordsRespond to emergency electrical issues as neededAdhere to all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policiesAdditional ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility by performing other essential facility maintenance tasks including:
