Job Summary:
As the Engineering Technician - Electrical Trainer you will work closely alongside the operations manufacturing employees and engineering to support the electrical side of HVAC manufacturing. The focus is to develop / maintain perform Electrical training of associates in both Wiring and Testing. This includes but is not limited to developing the material, conducting the training (both classroom and hands-on) and modifying all training material / instruction as needed. When training duties are not in demand, this position is expected to perform a variety of related tasks with coordination of the Electrical Leadership.
Core Job Responsibilities
Lead training program for wiring and testing of associates at CLB.Develop, Create and Update all classroom and hands-on training material.Work safely, be dedicated to performing quality work, and be productive.Teach the safe operation of all equipment to produce desired resultsContinually evaluate the training class material (both processes and procedures) and develop/modify existing work instructions to be safer, more efficient manner and update as new material is required.Ensure compliance with department policies, procedures, applicable laws, and regulations.Develop and track metrics related to Wiring Training progress / adherence.Support manufacturing operations by performing routine troubleshooting on controls / devices / wiring.Identify quality problems or improvement opportunities in the electrical assembly cells.Implement solutions relating to quality, safety, and productivity focused on the electrical related manufacturing processes, but not limited to this.Work with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to help incorporate new projects into the training, if needed.Will work as an individual contributor under moderate supervision as part of a small team.Work with team members to tackle larger electrical projects that help to improve first pass yield and line output.Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Associate's degree, prefer two or more years of relevant industry experience involving troubleshooting or testing electrical circuits and assemblies.A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience is required, 5 + years of experience is preferred.Qualified candidate must possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Qualified candidate must possess strong leadership and communication skills.Key Competencies:
Strong communication skillsAbility to interpret and use electrical schematicsStrong skills in utilizing a multimeter to check for continuity, and measuring both AC and DC signalsProficient knowledge of Microsoft applications such as powerpoint, excel, and wordProvide and direct technical assistance to others.Require cross functional communication, simultaneous engineering and reporting.Ability to resolve multiple conflicts between widely varying personalities.Ability to guide and lead non-technical & technical personnel to technical solutions.Implementation of root cause analysis and solutions.Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:
