Reporting to the Municipal Electrical Team Leader the Electrical Test Technician is responsible for performing functional testing and electrical wiring/assembly in order to meet customer quality and delivery expectations.

This position is part of the Municipal Electrical team located in London, ON and will be on-site.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Complete functional inspection of all assemblies which includes wire power and control connections, configure customer specific settings, perform diagnostic routines and functional test sequences

Troubleshoot functional issues and settle corrective actions

Assist in defining test protocols and methods within all areas of manufacturing and their associated hardware/software

Complete and maintain test records

Meet daily delivery targets

Document and communicate non-conformances both internally and externally

Perform other tasks when requested by leader

The essential requirements of the job include:  

Minimum Electrical/Electronic Technician or Technologist Diploma

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams

At least 2 years of experience operating/testing control panels (with PLC/embedded controls)

Experience with regulatory codes (UL508A, CSA, NEC and CE) would be ideal.

Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.

The base salary range for this role is $52k-69k CAD annually. Factors that will be considered for the salary offered to the successful candidate include internal equity, years of direct job related and skill experience, and relevant job market.
