Aerotek is currently hiring for an electrical test technician in the greater Hanover, MD area! Qualified candidates will be able to perform the duties listed below:
Job Description
As an Electrical Test Technician, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety and performance. You’ll work hands-on with switchboards and power distribution equipment, conducting rigorous testing and inspections to ensure compliance with UL and NEC standards. Your responsibilities will include:
Perform electrical testing (dielectric, mechanical, control wiring) on switchboards.Conduct quality inspections aligned with UL 891 and NEC standards.Document test results and inspection findings with precision.Monitor production for consistency and flag deviations early.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.Recommend and implement corrective actions and process improvements.Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.Support field testing and troubleshooting as needed.
Additonal Qualifications:
2+ years of experience testing industrial electrical equipment.Familiarity with UL 891, NEC, and NFPA 70E standards.NETA certification or similar preferred.Proficiency with Hi-pot testers, multimeters, and other inspection tools.Strong understanding of electrical theory and power distribution systems.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and testing procedures.Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.
Work Environment
Brand-new facility with modern equipment and space for 200–250 team members.Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and temperature changes.Safety gear required: steel-toed boots, safety glasses, long pants (thicker material preferred).Rotating 2-2-3 shift schedule: 6 AM – 6 PM.Initial training on a standard Monday–Friday schedule.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
