Job Title: Electrical Test Engineer
Job Description

You will focus on optimizing the manufacturing and testing of electrical systems for our products, including LEDs, light fixtures, digital media servers, and cabin management systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve the efficiency of electrical manufacturing processes and develop test strategies for PCBA validation. This role requires expertise in electrical systems testing, PCBA manufacturing, and providing guidance to ensure product quality and reliability in production environments.

ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of PCBA test plans and strategies for manufacturing, ensuring efficient and reliable testing of electrical systems.Design and oversee the development of automated test systems, test fixtures, and key test points to ensure product functionality and quality.Perform failure analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical and manufacturing issues in production.Collaborate with the design and development team to optimize product designs for manufacturing and testing.Interface with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure the smooth transition of electrical systems from prototype to production.Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, guiding them in electrical testing methodologies, failure analysis, and manufacturing best practices.Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical test methodologies, manufacturing processes, and product quality control.Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams (mechanical, firmware, and software engineers) to ensure successful integration of electrical systems within the product.Essential SkillsHardware test, PCB, microcontrollers, LED, RoHS, CL, subsystem testing, DC experience.Industry standard experience in terms of requirements.Extensive experience in PCBA manufacturing and testing.Designed test fixtures for testing both PCBAs and products for system-level testing.Ability to recognize when a design is insufficient for testing.Proficient in electrical design and testing tools such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters.In-depth knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes and electrical assembly standards.Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong leadership abilities and experience mentoring junior engineers.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as UL, CE, RoHS.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Experience with DC products (+28V DC).10+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on PCBA and OEM product manufacturing and testing.Proficient in electrical layout tools such as Altium or Allegro.Proficient in software test development tools such as LabVIEW or C/C++/C#.Experience with high-reliability product designs in automotive, aerospace, or medical devices.Familiarity with FPGA and/or embedded systems.Certification in Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.Work Environment

This position is onsite at a new, clean, and modern facility in Carrollton, TX. The environment is conducive to innovation and growth, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through acquisitions and organic expansion.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
