Electrical Technician Trainee

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join the Maintenance Department within the Electrical & Instrumentation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment onboard a floating offshore installation.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain electrical systems and components safely and efficiently, following procedures and within the limits of electrical authorization.

Conduct first-line maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

Implement electrical isolations in accordance with safety and permit-to-work systems (ISSOW).

Perform routine inspections of emergency electrical systems and maintain accurate records in the CMMS.

Monitor parameters, alarms, and conditions of electrical equipment; report irregularities promptly to the supervisor.

Ensure efficient use of spare parts and notify of any shortages.

Additional Duties:

Participate in maintaining high housekeeping standards and safe working practices.

Assist in operational and maintenance tasks during night shifts as directed.

Maintain logbooks, complete reports, and support shift handovers effectively.

Requirements:

STCW ETO license or degree in Electrical Engineering.

HV/LV switching certification preferred.

Minimum two years’ offshore or LNG vessel experience.

Valid offshore medical and safety certifications.
