Job DescriptionWork Schedule:
Weeks 1-2: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Weeks 3-4: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Weeks 5-6: Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Following this 6-week cycle, there will be a scheduled off period from Thursday to Tuesday.Weeks 7-8: Wednesday to Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.The schedule will then restart after Week 8.Position Purpose:
Responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to include engines, motors, tools, parts (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.), plumbing, conveyor systems, etc. to ensure optimum performance of machines and associated equipment.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Performs the following duties:Numeracy; take accurate measurements using precision instruments (eg. dial indicator ,micrometer)Blueprint reading; have the ability to work from Prints and schematicsAerial Lift Certification and other elevated work (Fall protection)Hot workScaffolding CertificationCrane SafetyOverhead Crane & Hoist SafetyFall ProtectionLine BreakingConfined SpaceLOTOPredictive MaintenanceConduit FabricationMaintain appropriate records on completed work performed using the CMMS system, communicating all findings to the immediate supervisor.Must have the ability to work autonomouslyAll candidates are subject to a 90 day probationary period.Other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation / Experience / Background:
High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) requiredAssociate’s degree with an emphasis in Electrical/Mechanical skills preferred5 (five) years work experienceMust have completed schooling for a trade skill with a 3.0 or greater GPA or have a documented trade skill ( or have 1 year or greater, work experience as a Journeyman Instrument/Electrical TechnicianMust have completed 4160 hours of on the job training, or have documented 5 years or greater in related industrial experience and skill.Must have completed 600 hours of classroom (on-line or face to face) training including listed primary duties or have 1 year work experience as an I/E JourneymanKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Strong team playerExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsTime management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines40 hr. OSHA HAZWOPER and complete entry level training (LOTO, Line Breaking, Hotwork)Forklift certificationProblem solving; Must have the mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair various complex pieces of equipment independently.Required Certification / Licenses / Training:
