Electrical Technician (Offshore)

The Electrical Technician is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems onboard an offshore installation. Reporting to the Electrical & Instrument Supervisor, the role ensures compliance with procedures and safety standards, supporting continuous plant availability and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain all electrical systems onboard. Perform first-line maintenance and report faults to maximise uptime. Conduct electrical isolations in line with ISSOW and authorisation level. Inspect, test, and maintain equipment in compliance with CMMS. Monitor alarms, parameters, and condition of electrical machinery. Maintain logbooks for designated electrical spaces and systems. Record maintenance history accurately in CMMS. Support other departments during night shifts or as directed. Conduct emergency system checks and routine inspections. Identify and report unsafe conditions; stop work if safety is compromised. Optimise spare part usage and report shortages promptly. Maintain high housekeeping standards and environmental awareness. Participate in fire team duties and safety meetings. Prepare and deliver shift and crew change handovers.

Requirements:

Preferably STCW ETO licence or degree in electrical engineering. EX systems competency certificate. HV/LV Switching & Operations certification (preferred). 2+ years' experience in electrical maintenance in offshore or LNG environments. Valid safety training and medical certification per offshore standards. Summary on Airswift:
