About the role
Hix Group is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Penrith, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of Traffic Signals and associated electrical infrastructure. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our region's transportation network. Hix is a BGIS Business and operates alongside BGIS.

What you'll be doing

Carry out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance on Traffic Signals and ITS  Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with traffic signal systems and components Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and tasks Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders to coordinate work activities Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards and regulations Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken

What we're looking for

Qualified Electrician with a current Unrestricted Electrician's Licence Extensive experience working on traffic signal and road infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring diagrams and traffic signal systems Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Commitment to workplace health and safety Strong communication and customer service skills Willingness to work a range of shifts, Inc: Day / Night / Away
