Electrical Systems Test Engineer II

Role Summary This role will be the point person for electrical system testing on system-level platforms, including the labcars and the Hardware Validation Build vehicles. These platforms are used for numerous system-level test objectives in the later stages of the development cycle. This is a hands-on role that will interact with vehicle hardware and software on a daily basis. You will plan and execute test procedures, perform data review, and troubleshoot issues as they come up. You will become intimately familiar with all aspects of vehicle design - from power distribution to network communication to sensor behaviors, and more. Additionally this role is responsible for the state of the Hardware Validation Build vehicles themselves. You will play a central role in tracking and managing vehicle issues and changes to ensure a smooth and efficient test campaign. Responsibilities Lead testing on the labcars and Validation Build vehicles, and support engineering teams performing their own testing Write and run test procedures to verify electrical system requirements Analyze test data to confirm requirements were met, or identify off-nominal behaviors Track test issues, troubleshoot to identify root cause, and partner with engineering teams to identify corrective actions Own processes to manage and track the hardware and software configuration on the Validation Build vehicles Plan hardware and software changes to the Validation Build vehicles, and coordinate with development teams to carry out the work Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Aerospace, or similar field 1+ years of experience with electrical system design and testing in automotive, aerospace, marine, or related industries Excellent electrical engineering fundamentals Familiarity with electrical test equipment (multimeter, power supply, oscilloscope, CANalyzer, wireshark, and other analog and digital dataloggers) Hands-on troubleshooting experience with strong methodology to identify root cause Ability to read wiring schematics and interact with CAD software Familiarity with software version control systems such as git Travel- Up to 20% of the time Pay Disclosure Salary Range for California Based Candidates: $105,100.00 - $131,400.00 (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
