Title: Electrical Substation Subject Matter Expert KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is looking for an Electrical Substation SME to supervise and lead a group of engineers and designers. Provides technical direction, training, mentoring and/or quality checking project deliverables. You will plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering scope. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: + Must have experience leading teams of electrical engineers and designers on projects for electrical substations. + Experience is required related to the development of task analysis for engineering and design hours; working with project schedules; and tracking earned value on the completed electrical engineering and design. + The candidate must be able to travel to client sites for client meetings and surveys of existing facilities. + Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is preferred. + Must be proficient on the following technical topics: + High voltage substation engineering and design. + Substation yard layouts, sections, grounding, lightning protection, raceways, and bill of materials. + One lines, three lines, auxiliary AC and DC power systems and schematics, relay panels, and equipment wiring. + Protection and controls design. + Calculations (grounding, lightning protection, AC and DC load studies, etc.). + Substation equipment specifications. + National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards Required Education, Experience, & Skills: + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering + 10+ years of experience required. + Excellent communication skills. + Well versed in Microsoft suite of tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams).
