The Role:
Single point contact, and provider of daily support for all things wiring related that are impacting the assembly plant. Work issues related to wire harnesses and be able to work with other QE’s, Material, and DRE’s. Supports problem solving wiring related issues seen in the plant. Manage audits and engineering updates and changes. Works directly with the plant Electrical Team to ensure issues are properly managed with a single point of contact.
What You'll Do: (Responsibilities):
Communicate across all departments (E-mail, voicemail, text, calls, IM, Teams, SLACK)Support GCA Electrical sufficiencySupport all Electrical BoO elementsImprove the process to support Electrical First time quality goal of 90.5%Support other Electrical team members as needed/directedProvide and communicate feedback on changes or updates to the wire harnesses for follow upAttend 5F and other plant meetingsWork with wiring DRE’s on problem solving related to wiring changesWork on continuous improvement (warranty, suggestions, PRTS)Support GA repair on electrical diagnostics and root cause analysisProblem solve issues related to wiring and create corrective actions to fix and containAnalyze and measure suspect harness components and utilize 3D math data to verify measurements and engineering dataSupport electrical processes in finding electrical concerns and use best practices to trouble shoot. (Wiring engineering concerns, ergo, safety, operator error)Communicate electrical defects such as components not being plugged in, routing issues etc. found at the end of lineLead electrical training coursesCommunicate with Group Leaders, Team Leaders, and Operators on the line about issues that come ariseConduct audits to verify rosebuds are being seated correctly and connections are being made correctlySupport electrical problem solvers with defects found in the plant and work to resolve issuesWork with repair with unknown codes to find root cause and work back the systemWork with Industrial Engineers to ensure APS is correct with job elementsPerform a discovery disconnect on a vehicle and record all defectsProvide a step-by-step guide for developing a Product Quality Standard (PQS) for Value Added Assembler (VAA) to ensure consistent quality and performance in vehicle assembly processes.Write PRTSs on wiring related issues found in the plantWrite SPPSs on defects from the supplies and communicate issues with supplier repsWork with suppliers to resolve issues

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience working in manufacturing plant in either Electrical or Plant Floor OperationsAdvanced problem-solving skillsAdvanced statistical analysis skillsAdvanced knowledge of vehicle electrical architectureUnderstand the product quality standardsStrong interpersonal and team building skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsSelf-motivatedStrong analytical abilityAble to make decisions quickly with a high level of confidenceMust be able to continually innovateAbility to work / rotate through all 3 shiftsAbility to work over-time, weekends, holidays, etc. as neededAbility to travel domestically and internationally 5% of the time or higher based on business needs.What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
