Job Summary

KBR is seeking an experienced, highly self-motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Rapid Prototyping Group. In this role you will have the opportunity to create electrical designs and drawings to quickly meet the needs of our customers, in advance of formal technical data packages. The successful candidate must be able to work with limited direction and generate the necessary technical documentation to meet minimum air worthiness requirements for United States Department of Defense rotorcraft and/or fixed wing aircraft. This documentation could include Wiring Diagrams, Circuit Card Assembly Drawings or Schematics, Electrical Loads Analyses, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities

Design and document complete electrical integration designs, within short time frames, that meet the customer’s requirements.Utilizing electrical lab test equipment, reverse engineering existing legacy electrical assemblies to determine necessary design changes.Generation of supporting Electrical Engineering analyses.Work with the manufacturing shop floor technicians to build and test generated designs.Report on the status of assigned projects to the Rapid Prototype Project Lead and Chief Engineer.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution and a minimum of 10 years’ experience, with a minimum of 3 years in rapid prototyping.Minimum of 10 years’ experience using Computer Aided Drafting to create schematics and wiring diagrams.Experience with Circuit Card design software such as ALTIUM.Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, etc.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in generation of Electrical Loads AnalysesMinimum of 10 years' experience with Configuration Management software such as SolidWorks PDM.Understanding of US Military Aerospace, ASME, and SAE Standards as they relate to Electrical Design.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the creation and management of Bills of Materials.Existing United States Department of Defense Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in electrical system design of United States Army rotorcraftExperience utilizing Altium for Circuit Card designExperience utilizing AutoCAD to document electrical system designsExperience with RF design and documentation such as Co-Site Analyses.
