The successful candidate will be responsible for all technical aspects of the project while supervising a team of Electrical Engineers as direct reports\. This position will ensure the integration of technical efforts across Cognizant Engineers and supporting organizations\. This role also includes schedule planning and Cost\-Account Management\. This position requires strong technical leadership, financial oversight, organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence in engineering\. **Responsibilities:** + Lead and manage the technical aspects of the project, ensuring alignment with program goals and engineering standards\. + Supervise a team of Electrical Engineers as direct reports, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations\. + Ensure the integrity and performance of electronic assemblies through rigorous testing and validation processes\. + Drive the execution of engineering processes, including design, development, prototyping, and testing\. + Plan and allocate engineering resources effectively to meet project milestones and deliverables\. + Coordinate efforts across Cognizant Engineers and supporting organizations to ensure seamless technical integration within the project\. + Oversee the project budget, manage costs, and ensure that the project remains within financial constraints\. Track and report on financial performance and implement cost\-saving measures as needed\. + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability\. **Required Technical and Leadership Competencies:** + Possess strong technical skills relevant to Electrical Engineering, PCB Design and developing space\-grade products\. + Maintain a customer\-centric mindset, ensuring project deliverables meet or exceed expectations\. + Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement\. + Exhibit excellent teamwork and communication skills, promoting collaboration and information sharing\. + Build and lead effective, high\-performing teams\. + Inspire and motivate team members to achieve high levels of performance\. + Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem\-solving and decision\-making\. + Navigate the organizational structure effectively to achieve project goals\. + Demonstrate high ethical standards and build trust with team members and stakeholders\. + Exhibit strong planning and organizational skills to manage project timelines and resources **Qualifications** **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field\. + 10 years of experience with a minimum of 2 years in project engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense industries\. + Proven experience in developing electronic systems, ideally with a focus on space\-grade hardware\. + Excellent leadership, communication, and problem\-solving skills\. + Experience with Cost\-Account Management and budget oversight\. + Strong understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and testing methodologies\. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment\. + Classified Information Statement – This position requires applicant to have an active security clearance\. + Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including US Citizenship, for access to classified information\. The pay range should be used as a general guide only\. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations\.
