Dynamic Weekend Rotation: Work Saturday and Sunday shifts, alternating between days (6 AM - 6 PM) and nights (6 PM - 6 AM). Your remaining hours will be made up with additional shifts during the week.
Attractive Earnings: Your salary will be £52,800 - £59,500 (pro-rated for your chosen hours and inclusive of shift allowance)

We're looking for a talented Shift Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our vital factory team. If you're a hands-on professional who thrives on complex automation and electrical challenges in a high-speed production environment, this is your chance to make a significant impact.
In this crucial role, you'll be our go-to expert for maintaining plant equipment and swiftly resolving electrical and mechanical issues sitewide. Your strong electrical and automation skills, combined with solid mechanical expertise, will ensure our production lines run flawlessly.
What are we looking for?Automation & Electrical Problem-Solver: Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex automation and electrical issues within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
PLC Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with PLCs to troubleshoot and optimize production systems.
Action-Oriented & Collaborative: A results-driven individual who excels at problem-solving, collaborates effectively with others, and can easily prioritize diverse workloads.
Engineering Foundation: A Higher National Certificate (HNC) in an electrical, automation, or multi-skilled engineering discipline is desirable, supported by relevant practical experience.
What would be your key responsibilities?Diagnose & Resolve Complex Faults: Expertly troubleshoot and repair automation, electrical, and mechanical issues on production machinery.
Drive Continuous Improvement in Reactive Maintenance: Provide critical on-shift support for resolving system problems (PLC/Servos, HMI) to enhance efficiency.
Execute Proactive Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance, equipment checks, and repairs to ensure optimal machine performance.
Empower Team Capabilities: Train and coach operators, technicians, and apprentices to enhance overall plant expertise.
Ensure Accurate Reporting & Compliance: Maintain meticulous records of maintenance work, supporting operational insights and adherence to standards.
