E&I – Maintenance Technician
Shifts: 2nd - 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, 3rd – 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
Summary:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will have complete involvement in routine and emergency corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance for all electrical, mechanical and electromechanical equipment and their related controls. It can also become a key player in plant layout, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
Duties to include (not limited to):
Repairs or replaces-in-kind existing production and material equipmentAssists in maintaining an inventory of critical and other repair parts to ensure uninterrupted productivityDetermine the most cost-effective repair or upgrade, disassemble equipment, repair defective components, reassemble and start-up equipmentDocuments maintenance repairs and equipment historiesInstalls and modifies machinery and equipment, including one-off assignments, as required by production, engineering, and other personnelServices and repairs programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors, and drivesAssembles and maintains electrical and electronic devices and systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other production mechanical systems, as necessaryAn Electrical Maintenance Technician will possess and demonstrate:
The ability to read and interpret electrical / electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, ladder diagrams, PLC programs, instrumentation and piping diagrams, equipment service manuals, and operating manualsThe ability to diagnose and repair or replace-in-kind electromechanical systems and the use of electromechanical tools and test equipmentA comprehensive understanding of how these technologies and skills are linked together to create a totally productive manufacturing systemOral and written communication skillsPersonal computer operationHigh established safety policies, standards, practices, and procedures aligned to company
Education / Position Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical / electronics, electro-mechanical, or industrial maintenanceAn electronics technician degree from an accredited schoolDemonstrated experience with any or all of the following is a strong plus:AC / DC DrivesAutomationChain / Belt ConveyorsInstrumentationLiteracy in blueprints and schematicsPower DistributionThis person should be very customer-oriented, organized, and have a helpful and motivated work ethic. It must be able to work in a team environment, be an excellent communicator, cooperative, organized and attentive to detail and the ability to read and write and communicate in English.The salary range for this position is $44.84 per hour, plus shift differential depending on your role, level, and location.
