Job Description Insight Global is seeking an electrical maintenance technician in the Mobile, AL area. Responsibilities include: Follow all maintenance JSA’s, lockout/tagout procedures, and safety policies. Maintain and troubleshoot: Low-voltage control circuits (120/208V). 480V 3-phase distribution and motor control centers. PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley, ControlLogix 5000). AC and DC drive systems, soft starters, and VFDs. Instrumentation including load cells, encoders, thermocouples, proximity sensors, and pressure/flow transmitters. Perform preventive maintenance on motors, MCCs, transformers, and switchgear. Install conduit, cable tray, and wiring to NEC standards. Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and infrared cameras. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts. Log completed work and equipment data into CMMS. Complete training within the designated timeframes and attend all required meetings. Skills and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ year industrial electrical maintenance experience (steel or heavy manufacturing preferred), or 2 years industrial electrical experience plus a degree in electrical or instrumentation technology. PLC troubleshooting/programming experience (Allen-Bradley). Experience with AC/DC drives and motor control systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Strong troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced production environment. Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
