Job Description – Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Kingston, KT1 2AH
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week , Shifts across Mondayto Sunday
Shift: 4 days on 4 days off, 07:00-19:00
Purpose of the Role
Deliver statutory,legislative, and mandatory electrical maintenance across the client site,completing both planned and reactive tasks as well as minor new works.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical faults and carry out routine maintenance to industry standards.Complete planned maintenance, reactive tasks, minor new works, and like-for-like replacements.Conduct electrical testing and verification of minor works.Perform risk assessments and work safely at all times.Respond to emergency call-outs, including out-of-hours support.Supervise specialist subcontractors and support apprentices.Maintain accurate records of work, time, and materials.Build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and statutory requirements.Participate in shift and call-out patterns once the site is live.
Key Accountabilities
Safe, compliant delivery of electrical maintenance.Efficient completion of tasks within service-level requirements.Accurate documentation and reporting to the supervisor.Proper care and use of tools, equipment, and PPE.Ongoing completion of training and competency assessments.
Person Specification
2 years’ experience in technical maintenance.Strong practical electrical engineering skills and systematic problem-solving.Experience working within H&S procedures and safe systems of work.IT literate (Microsoft Office & CMMS).Ability to self-manage workload and communicate effectively.NVQ Level 3 Electrical (or equivalent).City & Guilds Level 3 Inspection & Testing.
