Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Electrical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that all electrical work meets contract specifications, building codes, and quality standards. You will work collaboratively with project teams to verify contractor compliance, document work quality, and maintain comprehensive inspection records. This position requires a meticulous professional who is committed to upholding the highest standards of electrical installation and safety on construction projects.
Read, comprehend, and analyze contract documents, detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and health and safety requirements, including all associated updates and amendmentsEnsure contractor compliance with contract standards and specifications through systematic observation, precise measurements, and comprehensive testing proceduresMonitor and track quality assurance progress, documenting all findings with accuracy and transparencyConduct site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident EngineerDocument contractor personnel, equipment, activities, work locations, methodologies, and means of installation in assigned areasVerify material deliveries and implement site instructions from project leadership with efficiency and decisivenessApply and enforce all quality control and quality assurance procedures established for the projectPrepare site measurements and surveying checks as required by project leadershipMonitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements through systematic inspection dutiesObserve and report on Health and Safety compliance, documenting any violations or concernsMaintain organized daily records of contractor manpower and equipment resourcesPrepare clear, concise reports presenting inspection findings and observations in professional written EnglishCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and continuous improvementQualificationsBachelor in Engineering (minimum requirement); related Engineering Degree preferred for career advancementMinimum 15 years of overall experience in construction supervision with a consultancy or similar organizationMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical-related construction projects in the Middle East region or similar contextProven experience supervising electrical installations across diverse building types, including residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projectsStrong knowledge of electrical methodologies, installation processes, and proceduresComprehensive understanding of Building Codes and electrical compliance standardsDemonstrated expertise in quality control and quality assurance proceduresProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentsExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and conciselyStrong report-writing capabilities with attention to detail and professional presentationSolid understanding of construction techniques and best practicesAnalytical and problem-solving skill set with the ability to identify and address compliance issuesProficiency in documentation and record-keeping systemsAbility to work collaboratively in team environments while maintaining independent judgmentStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple inspection tasks efficientlyKnowledge of Health and Safety regulations and monitoring proceduresPreferred: Experience with construction management software or digital inspection toolsPreferred: Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction regulations and local building standardsAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
