Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an Electrical Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of electrical installations in various construction projects throughout the region.
Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, panels, lighting, and power systems, to verify compliance with project specifications, local codes, and industry standardsOversee testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safetyReview contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specificationsIdentify, document, and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actionsCollaborate with other inspectors and disciplines to resolve electrical system integration issuesMaintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality assurance and compliance trackingWitness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-upsVerify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specificationsProvide guidance and recommendations to contractors and project teams to ensure compliance with electrical codes and standardsStay updated on local and international electrical codes and regulationsTravel to various project sites within the Riyadh region as requiredQualificationsHigh School diploma with a minimum of 15 years of related experience in electrical inspection or demonstrated equivalency of experience and educationStrong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation practicesExtensive experience with local Saudi Arabian electrical codes and construction methodsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailStrong organizational abilities and proficiency in maintaining accurate records and reportsEffective communication skills in both English and ArabicValid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites within the regionPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldOSHA 10-hour training certificationCertified Construction Quality Manager for Contractors (CQM-C)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and project management systemsExperience working on large-scale construction projects in the Middle EastFamiliarity with international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NFPA)Additional InformationAbout AECOM
