Responsibilities:
Develop wiring diagrams and assembly instructions, assist and develop test plans, and finalize product design to facilitate mass production.
Create web-based user interfaces and dashboards for unit monitoring and control.
Develop and optimize automation code and algorithms.
Review design drawings, wiring diagrams, and ensure compliance with Engineering Standard Work.
Recommend best practices for solutions to meet business needs and assist with development and maintenance of Engineering Standard Work Instructions.
Ensure compliance with international electrical and safety codes (UL, CSA, NEC).
Develop product information packages including drawing specifications.
Analyze new components, materials and technologies to evaluate functionality for new or existing products.
Analyze product cost and develop Bill of Materials and Manufacturing Routings.
Develop engineering component and assembly drawings
Execute Design for Assembly and Manufacturing (DFx) product components and assemblies
Participate in engineering and manufacturing design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations
Coordinate with multidisciplinary product launch teams to facilitate product launch
Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
Knowledge of HVAC controls and equipment including refrigeration coils, hydronic coils, or air moving subsystems.
2-5 years experience of application of research and design to the planning, development, and testing of HVAC equipment from concept to production release.
Experience with PLC-based control systems, structured programming languages, ladder logic, and functional blocks, with aptitude for programming and implementing a developed Sequence of Operations.
Understanding of network protocols (Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus, BACnet).
Knowledge of Electrical Automation products, including but not limited to, Motor Starters, Motor Controllers, and VFDs.
Demonstrated understanding of electricity and analog circuit design in a manufacturing environment
3-D modeling software proficiency (Solidworks preferred)
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field
