Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for the design, integration, and testing of aerospace electrical systems, wiring, and interconnects in compliance with military and industry standards.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with appropriate credentials.
Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
Minimum 7 years of electrical design experience using CAD software.
Experience creating aerospace wiring interconnects, schematics, and harness drawings per drafting standards and approved CAD tools.
Knowledge of aerospace wiring and installation requirements (e.g., SAE AS50881).
Experience designing with MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-5015, and MIL-DTL-23308 connectors and related strain reliefs for environmental and EMI/EMC conditions.
Familiarity with ASME Y14.44, ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.5, and ASME Y14.100 standards.
Experience providing liaison and shop floor support.
Preferred Skills
Design and integration experience with RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, and discrete wiring.
Experience with RF systems, antenna installation, design, and analysis.
Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and DO-160 testing and design requirements.
Knowledge of MIL-STD-704 series AC/DC power requirements for utilization equipment.
Experience performing electrical load analysis per MIL-E-7016, ASTM F2490-05, and/or AC 21-38.
Experience with design and integration of Radar, EO/IR, Datalinks, and C4ISR systems on airborne platforms.
Motion control system design experience.
Experience with Link-16 system integration and VHF/UHF/L-Band communications.
Practical electrical fabrication and prototyping experience.
Experience developing ground and flight test plans for avionics equipment evaluation.
Knowledge of aircraft EMI/EMC/RFI testing procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Lead electrical design and development for aerospace systems including wiring, interconnects, and harness assemblies.
Produce detailed wiring schematics and harness drawings compliant with applicable aerospace and military standards.
Perform and document electrical analyses, including load, EMI/EMC, and power distribution studies.
Integrate avionics, communication, radar, and control systems into airborne platforms.
Support RF system and antenna integration, testing, and analysis.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with electrical, environmental, and performance specifications.
Provide liaison and shop floor support during production, integration, and test phases.
Develop and execute ground and flight test plans for validation of avionics and electrical systems.
Ensure all designs meet applicable military, aerospace, and regulatory standards.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
