Seeking Electrical Engineer (PE) to lead building-systems design and delivery for healthcare and commercial projects, driving quality, coordination, and schedule/budget adherence.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state; eligibility for Michigan licensure by comity or current Michigan PE
NCEES record/certification
10+ years designing engineered electrical building systems (power, lighting, distribution, grounding)
Proficient knowledge of NEC and NFPA 170
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360
Ability to review drawings and specifications across all design phases
Experience assembling, coordinating, and monitoring engineering project schedules
Preferred Skills
Licensed to practice Engineering in Michigan
Healthcare planning and design experience, including construction documents, construction administration, and project cost control
Experience developing proposals defining scope and labor budgets
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and healthcare facility standards (e.g., NFPA 99/101, FGI Guidelines)
Responsibilities
Lead electrical building-systems design from concept through construction documents and closeout
Maintain and improve consistency, quality, and accuracy of engineering design and production
Review and stamp drawings and specifications; ensure NEC and applicable codes compliance
Assemble, coordinate, and monitor project schedules, deliverables, and interdisciplinary BIM coordination
Prepare technical scopes and labor estimates for proposals
Provide construction administration support: RFIs, submittals, site observations, punch lists
Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and low-voltage disciplines to integrate complete designs
Pay Details: $56.00 to $75.00 per hour
