Job Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Maple Grove, Minnesota Type: Contract Compensation: $70.00 - $72.00 hourly Contractor Work Model: Hybrid Hours: Add the job’s scheduled days and times (delete if not needed) Security Clearance: List security clearance requirements (delete if not needed) System One is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer on a 12 month contract position located in Maple Grove, MN. Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: + Handles day-to-day maintenance and corrective work at substations. + Will lead for-like replacements and upgrades of substation equipment (e.g., breakers, switches, transformers, relays, bushings, arresters). + Perform troubleshooting, initiate projects, order materials, develop/adjust designs as needed (brownfield- no greenfield design). + Coordinate with construction to execute, manage schedules, and ensure communications to all stakeholders (construction, substation maintenance team, etc.) + Deliverables include scoped work packages, materials requisition, field coordination, and completion of replacement/maintenance activities. Electrical Engineer Requirements: + BS degree in Electrical Engineering + Substation equipment knowledge and field troubleshooting experience or strong willingness to be in the field. + Familiarity with brownfield replacement/maintenance workflows. + Stakeholder coordination and project initiation/materials ordering. + Software: SAP, ProjectWise, and basic PLC/logic programming a plus.
