Job Description
Assist with the design and documentation of electrical systems and components for 600V and below applications, including motor control centers, power distribution, drives, protection schemes, and control circuits.
Create and review schematics, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and electrical layouts using CAD/ECAD tools; support PCB/layout tasks as needed.
Support sizing, selection, and integration of motors, drives, transformers, relays, contactors, protection devices, and instrumentation.
Contribute to testing, commissioning, FAT/SAT activities, and field troubleshooting at customer sites.
Assist with electrical safety, risk assessment, and compliance activities in line with NEC/IEC 60364 (and other applicable codes as required).
Support the creation of design history files, test procedures, specifications, and as-built documentation; maintain design traceability.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and QA teams to ensure integrated system performance.
Document technical decisions and present designs to internal teams and, when needed, to clients or non-technical stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Electromechanical Systems (ABET-accredited program preferred).
At least 2-5 years of experience in electrical design for systems up to 600V and familiarity with related components (motor controls, drives, transformers, protection devices, EMC/EMI considerations).
Proficiency with electrical design and analysis tools like ETAP, REVIT, CAD, Microsoft Excel
Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed and to work on field deployment/commissioning activities.
Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Safety-conscious with a practical approach to delivering reliable electrical solutions. Familiarity with NEC, IEC 60364, and basic electrical standards; willingness to deepen regulatory knowledge.
Experience with FAT/SAT, field service, or customer-facing technical support.
Pursuing professional development toward PE licensure, including FE exam preparation, licensure tracking, and required continuing education.
