Visit TextronSystems\.com & Lycoming\.com to read more about who we are and the products we make\! **About This Role** Textron Systems is seeking engineers of all disciplines to support the United States Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle \(ARV\) program\. For this program, Textron Systems has developed the Cottonmouth® ARV, a recon vehicle to be feared and a force\-multiplier armed to the fangs with advanced full\-spectrum reconnaissance and surveillance sensors\. It’s expertly designed to defeat threats beyond line of sight and comes complete with cutting\-edge technologies that will keep adversaries up at night\. Cottonmouth was developed using a Modular Open Systems Approach \(MOSA\) that is Ground Vehicle Operating System \(GVOS\) based employing the Tactical Assault Kit Extended \(TAK\-X\) framework for easy capability integration\. This modern vehicle platform has superior mobility capabilities to tackle treacherous off\-road terrain and waterways while keeping Marines safe thanks to its advanced survivability suite and Human System Interface \(HSI\) focus\. Amphibious mobility, unrivaled versatility, and electronic warfare capabilities define a vehicle that is adaptable, stealthy and thrives wherever enemies hide\. **We believe people should love what they do** **– in this role, you will:** As an electrical engineer, you will perform a variety of assignments including conceptual design, engineering analysis, detailed sub\-system electrical design, integration, test, and manufacturing and field support\. A strong candidate will possess a broad range of engineering skills and could perform as an individual contributor or as a team lead\. You will have the opportunity to work in a multi\-functional team environment with a diverse array of exciting technologies and products that directly support our nation’s war fighters\. **Responsibilities:** Perform detailed design of integrated electrical and communications systems on vehicles\.Perform analysis, integration, and testing\.Contribute to concept development as part of internal cross\-functional design teams, including prototyping and production support\.Prepare high\-quality formal engineering documentation such as drawings, presentations, specifications, design presentations to customers, test plans, and test reports\.Support proposal activity, providing input to cost estimates and risk assessments\.May lead a design team\.Will plan product development, produce technical white papers, and brief management/customers on planning and progress\. **Qualifications** **Requirements:** Extensive design and integration experience in military and/or commercial systems, control systems, EMI/EMC, power and safety\.Proven track record of innovation and problem solving in cross functional teams\.Familiarity with Systems Engineering, and Hardware\-in\-the\-Loop simulation & test is required\.Design and integration experience in some or all of the products and practices below: Cable designHardware Safety and Risk analysisRF link budgetsHardware Environmental and Electromagnetic qualification to military standardsHALT and ESS testingGPS and RF communication systems integrationAC and DC power and motors, motor controllers, and brakesEthernet and networking, RS232/422, CAN busBatteries \(Lithium\)Power convertersFault tree development and criticality analysisProgramming and algorithm developmentGrounding and environmental controlPower test equipment such as electronic load banks The candidate should have hands\-on experience troubleshooting electrical cabling and digital communicationWired Ethernet and Network configuration experience is a plusEligible to obtain a security clearance **Education & Experience Levels** + Experience levels will be determined by a hiring team\.
