Entry-Level Controls Engineer – Responsible for learning, programming, and supporting electrical control systems for automated packaging machinery.

Job Requirements:

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

1+ years of experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.

Experience with Allen-Bradley servo systems and HMIs.

Basic HMI programming experience (screen development, updates, and troubleshooting).

Hands-on experience with servo drives and motion control components.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Experience with any electrical design CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent).

Preferred Skills:

Experience with control panel layout and design.

Experience with industrial automation for packaging or discrete manufacturing equipment.

Familiarity with applicable electrical codes and industrial standards.

Experience supporting machine assembly teams with wiring and electrical checkout.

Job Responsibilities:

Learn all electrical circuit design functions for company-manufactured packaging machines.

Become proficient in programming, loading, troubleshooting, and designing electrical controls for automated machinery.

Perform hands-on hardwiring and installation of control components, including installing and terminating control panels.

Assist assembly personnel with machine wiring and verify that wiring meets design and quality requirements.

Support testing, debugging, and programming of machines, including development or assistance in developing new control programs.

Learn departmental procedures and assist with issuing machine parts lists and electrical drawings.

Keep Electrical Engineering Management informed of project status, progress, and technical input for future projects.

Submit requisitions for electrical engineering supplies and components through designated engineering leads or management.

Recommend methods to increase production efficiency and reduce costs related to electrical controls and designs.

Maintain current knowledge of developments in the electrical controls and industrial automation industry.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
