Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer role responsible for leading the design and construction administration of building electrical systems across multiple market segments.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution

Professional Engineer (PE) license

9+ years of electrical engineering experience for building projects

Experience with power distribution, lighting, low-voltage cabling, and building fire alarm and security systems

Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations for commercial, healthcare, government, and education facilities

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and related engineering software

Preferred Skills

Experience leading multi-discipline design coordination on building projects

Experience developing energy-efficient and sustainable electrical system designs

Experience preparing and reviewing construction documents and technical specifications for complex facilities

Familiarity with designing systems for mission-critical or highly regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, government)

Job Responsibilities

Lead the design and construction administration of electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, government, and education facilities

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations while maintaining design efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout all project phases

Develop project-specific electrical solutions that enhance energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness while meeting functional and reliability requirements

Produce technical documentation including system specifications, technical reports, design narratives, and complete construction documents

Coordinate with project stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate options, and implement appropriate electrical system designs

Oversee construction administration activities for electrical systems, including submittal review, RFI responses, site visits, and punchlists

Manage client relationships on assigned projects and maintain alignment of design deliverables with project requirements and expectations



Pay Details: $42.00 to $57.00 per hour
