Designs, develops, and tests digital, analog, and RF electronics for Anti-Submarine Warfare receiver systems from requirements through verification.
RequirementsBS in Electrical Engineering (or EET with substantial hardware design experience)
5+ years electronic hardware design (digital, analog, power, and/or RF)
Schematic capture proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence/OrCAD, Multisim, LTspice)
Experience directing PCB layout: constraints, stackup, routing guidance, DFM/DFT inputs to ECAD
Prototype bring-up, test, and hardware debug using oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, power analyzers
Experience producing engineering artifacts: requirements, test procedures, BOMs, and design review materials
Knowledge of signal processing fundamentals and data-conversion (ADC/DAC) interfaces
Preferred SkillsMS in Electrical Engineering
RF design experience (filters, LNAs, mixers, PLLs, gain/linearity/noise tradeoffs)
Simulation and analysis tools (SPICE/PSpice/LTspice, Simulink, LabVIEW)
Programming for analysis and tooling (MATLAB, C, Java)
Industry communication interfaces/protocols (SPI, I²C, UART, LVDS, Ethernet, CAN)
Environmental/EMI compliance practices and verification (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461)
Experience with ASW systems, sonobuoy receivers, RF front-ends, or embedded DSP electronics
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop digital, analog, and RF circuits for ASW receiver systems
Perform trade studies, risk assessments, and design reviews to meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements
Define PCB layout requirements; collaborate with ECAD to realize manufacturable, testable designs
Test and debug prototype boards and systems; validate performance against requirements
Generate technical documentation (requirements, procurement specs, test procedures) and design-review presentations
Integrate electrical hardware with overall receiver architecture in a multidisciplinary team
Support developmental, customer verification, and validation testing; resolve issues through to release
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Pay: 120000-135000
