Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering (or EET with substantial hardware design experience)

5+ years electronic hardware design (digital, analog, power, and/or RF)

Schematic capture proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence/OrCAD, Multisim, LTspice)

Experience directing PCB layout: constraints, stackup, routing guidance, DFM/DFT inputs to ECAD

Prototype bring-up, test, and hardware debug using oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, power analyzers

Experience producing engineering artifacts: requirements, test procedures, BOMs, and design review materials

Knowledge of signal processing fundamentals and data-conversion (ADC/DAC) interfaces

Preferred Skills

MS in Electrical Engineering

RF design experience (filters, LNAs, mixers, PLLs, gain/linearity/noise tradeoffs)

Simulation and analysis tools (SPICE/PSpice/LTspice, Simulink, LabVIEW)

Programming for analysis and tooling (MATLAB, C, Java)

Industry communication interfaces/protocols (SPI, I²C, UART, LVDS, Ethernet, CAN)

Environmental/EMI compliance practices and verification (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461)

Experience with ASW systems, sonobuoy receivers, RF front-ends, or embedded DSP electronics

Responsibilities

Design and develop digital, analog, and RF circuits for ASW receiver systems

Perform trade studies, risk assessments, and design reviews to meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements

Define PCB layout requirements; collaborate with ECAD to realize manufacturable, testable designs

Test and debug prototype boards and systems; validate performance against requirements

Generate technical documentation (requirements, procurement specs, test procedures) and design-review presentations

Integrate electrical hardware with overall receiver architecture in a multidisciplinary team

Support developmental, customer verification, and validation testing; resolve issues through to release

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
