Electrical Engineer

KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia.  This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas.  The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The Electrical Engineer will support the lead in the electrical design of the OLNG facility. 

Responsibilities: 

Work on the development of electrical layout design conceptsSupport the design criteria & specificationsPerform electrical analysis, calculations, & reviewFollow government regulations and industrial codes in alignment with SoW & BoD requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 7 + years of related experience, with average experience of 10 + years in the Oil & Gas industry3 + years as an Electrical Engineer with LNG facilitiesDemonstrated capacity with electrical system design, construction & startup of LNG facilitiesExperience in FEED & EPC engineering activities related to electrical system design of LNG facilities with hands-on experience in all phases of projects from FEED to detail engineering & design through construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning, project management & QC controls & procedures of electrical engineering designsProficient in electrical control systems, power generation systems, electrical distribution systems, earthing systems, & electrical equipment including transformers, motors, & AC/DC UPSUnderstanding of large electrical power generation, distribution systems, & preferably combined cycle power generation systemsCompetent with Electrical design softwareFamiliar with related standards and codes
