We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing Charlotte team. This is a high-impact role for an experienced professional who thrives in complex project environments and is ready to take ownership of electrical design across industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll play a key role in shaping project outcomes, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to strategic initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead Electrical Design: Oversee the design of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, grounding, and low-voltage systems for industrial and commercial facilities.Project Execution: Manage electrical design deliverables across all phases—conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.Technical Documentation: Prepare and review design calculations, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.Quality Assurance: Conduct design reviews, identify inconsistencies, and implement improvements to ensure technical excellence.Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings, site visits, and design presentations, representing the electrical discipline with professionalism and clarity.Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and EITs, fostering technical growth and promoting best practices.Construction Support: Review RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals, providing timely and accurate responses to support field execution.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.Professional Engineering (PE) License required or near completion.8+ years of progressive experience in electrical design for industrial or commercial facilities.Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in BIM workflows.Solid understanding of NEC, NFPA, and other relevant electrical codes and standards.Proven ability to lead design efforts and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.Preferred ExperienceSector experience in Food & Beverage, Automotive, Advanced Manufacturing, or Data Centers.Familiarity with low-voltage systems, lighting controls, and energy-efficient design strategies.Experience with construction-phase support and commissioning activities.Work EnvironmentHybrid schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.Collaborative and fast-paced office environment with opportunities for professional growth.Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings may be required.This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior-level electrical engineer looking to make a meaningful impact while advancing their career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $165000.00/yr.
