Responsibilities:
Provide direction and coordination of electrical engineering for projects in gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and upstream oil & gas industries
Apply design knowledge in medium and low voltage power distribution, grounding, lighting, motor control, variable frequency drives, and equipment specification/selection
Conduct power studies including load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, motor starting, and arc flash analysis
Interact with engineering disciplines, project managers, major equipment suppliers, and clients
Prepare electrical design deliverables including:
Power cable schedules
Cable tray and duct bank design
One-line diagrams
Grounding and lighting plans
Motor schematics
UPS and MCC specifications
Control panel and junction box design
Transformer specifications
Arc-flash studies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience specifying LV and MV transformers, switchgear, motor controls, and variable frequency drives
Proficiency in industrial power system analysis using SKM tools or equivalent software
Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and API standards, including hazardous location classifications
Preferred Skills:
Experience with substation design
Knowledge of electrical installations in hazardous areas
Strong background in industrial plant power distribution systems
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
