Electrical Engineer
Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for automation stations and assembly lines. You will take ownership of moderately complex projects while collaborating with engineers for guidance and mentorship. You will be responsible for analyzing user requirements, assisting in system integration, and developing technical solutions. The successful candidate will report to the Manager of Electrical Engineering and will support the team in achieving project milestones.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems for automation stations and assembly lines.Create and update schematics, flow diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs.Perform wire sizing and circuit protection selection.Configure and integrate PLCs and HMIs.Use E-plan or AutoCAD for schematics.Coordinate with cross-functional teams.Maintain documentation in the PDM system.Participate in design reviews, installations, and service calls.Implement safety concepts and ensure compliance.Contribute to process improvements and mentor junior engineers.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in PLCs (Siemens, Beckhoff).Experience in electrical schematic design using AutoCAD or E-plan.Knowledge of servo controls and wiring systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.Familiarity with safety standards such as ISO and OSHA.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Willingness to travel occasionally.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Controls Technology, or related field.5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in custom automation systems.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will use advanced tools like AutoCAD or E-plan for designing schematics. The role may involve occasional travel. You will work in compliance with safety standards, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
